Describe a hot afternoon
Write down when the room gets warmest, how many people usually occupy it and where sunlight enters. Mention if a door often stays open or if several appliances run in the room. Share approximate dimensions as context and let the installer take the measurements they need.
Walk through the proposed locations
Show the installer where you hope the indoor unit will go and which outdoor locations are accessible. Ask how they plan to route the drain and connections and what work is included in the quote. Agree on who will prepare the area before installation day.
